Training and Skills Development
As an accredited HWSETA, QCTO, and CPD training service provider, KuLuvuyo believes that skills development is a commitment to structured skills enhancement and personal or professional competence, ensuring that everyone – no matter their occupation, role, or responsibility within an organization – has up to date skills and knowledge.
Our training and skills development ensure improved service delivery by providing professionals with additional education. It entails any educational activity which helps to maintain, develop, or increase knowledge, problem-solving, technical skills, or professional performance standards.
Material Development/Review
KuLuvuyo has developed, updated, and peer-reviewed training material on several health topics. This includes material for KuLuvuyo Courses and for our clients. Examples of courses and clients include:
- Current Lead Developer of all training material on Morden Contraceptives and Family Planning for the National Department of Health.
- Member of developers of The National Comprehensive Sexual Reproductive Health Training Framework for the National Department of Health.
- National Contraceptive and Fertility Training manual for National Department of Health.
- Integrated Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and HIV for UNFPA Country Office to be used in Lesotho and South Africa.
With the support of seasoned Facilitators, Assessors, and Moderators, we offer the following SETA & QCTO accredited courses:
- The General Education and Training Certificate: Ancillary Healthcare –NQF Level 1.
- Applying Accurate Information about HIV/AIDS to everyday life – NQF Level 1.
- Provide Risk-Based Primary Emergency Care /First Aid in the Workplace-NQF Level 2.
- National Certificate: Community Health Work-NQF Level 2.
- National Certificate: Occupational Hygiene and Safety-NQF Level 3.
- Further Education and Training Certificate: Counselling-NQF Level 4.
- Further Education and Training Certificate: Community Health Work-NQF Level 4.
- Further Education and Training Certificate: Early Childhood Development – NQF Level 4.
- Occupational Certificate: Health promotion Officer (Community Health Worker) – NQF L3.
KuLuvuyo is Continued Professional Development-accredited in Comprehensive Management of HIV and AIDS for nurses and doctors.
This course is delivered in a workshop format using adult learning styles.
